We are self certified for BS8901. We have discussed our self certification; how we have calculated our carbon footprint and the ways we are going to try and reduce it and in the meantime offset, it with Petrel Consulting. www.petrelconsulting.co.uk Petrel Consulting are an independent carbon & coaching company.

We have used the DEFRA environmental 2008 guidelines www.defra.gov.uk/environment/business when calculating both Insites and our employee’s vehicles emissions and EDF’s formula www.edfenergy.com when working out carbon emissions for our electricity consumption.

We are also on a green energy tariff for our gas and electricity. Within our transport policy we offer working from and home and wherever possible we arrange for our employees to travel straight from home to events in our company vans.

We are working closely with our suppliers to find out how they are tackling their co2 emissions. We will be reviewing our suppliers and possibly changing them if we don’t receive satisfactory answers.

We have calculated that we as a Company produce approximately 50 tons of carbon per year and while we work towards reducing that we will be offsetting using the Gold Standard Offset system www.cdmgoldstandard.org or the Voluntary Carbon Standard www.v-c-s.org Or we will be contributing part of our profits to charitable projects in the UK. Sustainable signage, graphics & recycling

Insite are always looking for new developments in media and also for ways we can reduce our carbon emissions both directly and indirectly. With this in mind we have introduced PVC banner recycling for a small charge per sq mtr. Also we are able to offer your event fully recyclable graphics using UV cured inks, recycled foamboard panels and papers. Please call or e mail us for further details.
